PDFs are great but every now and then I have a need to edit one. There are of course a whole plethora of PDF creation/editing tools available, most of which will set you back some cash. But generally I don’t need this level of functionality, I just need to move some bits around. Well to help out there is now a free to use Website, inventively called PDFtoWord, that helps out.
The site allows you to upload a PDF document, specify whether you want RTF or DOC output and then enter an email address to get the converted file. I tried a couple of fairly complex PDFs and the output was remarkably accurate. The only thing to note really is that the email with the files can take a while to arrive so a little patience is needed although this may be due to the service being newly out of beta and so under heavy load.
